This zip file contains the firmware (.hex) files for version 2.00 of the firmware for TGF4162 and TGF4242 Function Generators.  The TGF4042 and TG4082 use different firmware linked to below.  It also contains a PDF readme file with details on how to perform the upgrade.

Version 2 Feature Update

The version 2 feature update is only applicable to TGF4162 and TGF4242 Function Generators. The TGF4042 and TG4082 do not have the hardware to support them. The changes will be in the next update of the user manual. A summary is below:

• Improved phase noise: Sine phase noise performance is significantly better 
• Arb waveform length increased from 8192 to 16384 points
• Pulse delay modulation feature added
• Multi-segment waveform sequencing feature added with internal or external modulation
• List Frequency sweep feature added
• Frequency counter gate time adjustment added
• Pulse edge shaping feature added

Previous Versions

• Version 1.05 fixes a problem with binary transfers over USB
• Version 1.04 fixes a problem where the display would shift occasionally.
• Version 1.02 and 1.03 fix an issue when GPIB enabling remote interfaces
• Version 1.01 fixed a firmware problem which prevented both generator channels being triggered simultaneously via remote control.

The current firmware version installed in the generator is shown when the instrument is switched on.
