Senior Electronics Test EngineerWe are looking for a Senior Electronics Test Engineer to join our manufacturing test department, someone who would have the potential to progress their career into a Test Management role within 4 years of joining us. You will start in production, getting a solid understanding of our range of precision instruments, working on power supplies, signal generators, spectrum analysers, digital multi meters and more. About us: Thurlby Thandar Instruments is an established leading design and manufacturer of electronic test and measurement instruments. With over three decades of experience, we supply our products throughout the world via carefully selected distributors and partners. We are located in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire where we design and manufacture our wide range of test instrumentation.We operate a 37-hour, 4-day working week (Mon to Thurs) and offer 5 weeks holiday, pension scheme, employee wellbeing programme and a salary sacrifice scheme for Electric Vehicle leasing. Your background: You will have a proven track record in the electronics test, fault diagnosis and rework to component level, gained from a low volume/high mix manufacturing environment. You should be able to use your knowledge and experience to understand the ‘Why?’ a fault has occurred and be able to suggest process improvements. You will have had some involvement in design of test processes and ideally have experience of test jig manufacturing and software development. Main purpose of job: As a Senior Test Engineer, you will bridge the gap between complex diagnostics and production efficiency. You’ll support the production test team and technical manager to achieve production volumes and shipments to customers. Using your experience, you will contribute toward test strategy and design ensuring best practices are followed. Production Operator - ElectronicsAs one of our Production Operators, you will be working within a busy electronics manufacturing environment. You will be assembling electronic components into circuit boards, operating various machinery, carrying out visual inspection, wiring, mechanical assembly and packing. Your background: Ideally you will come from a complex electronics assembly background and preference will be given to any candidates that have previous experience in electronics assembly. However, we provide full training for the right candidate who is an enthusiastic team player, has an eye for detail and is keen to succeed.
