Goods-In Operator

We are looking for a careful, organised Goods-In Operator to join our factory team. You will play an important part in making sure incoming materials and components are checked, received and available to the business when needed.

Your core focus will be Goods-In: inspecting deliveries, checking paperwork and quantities, and accurately receiving accepted goods onto our ERP system. You will also provide practical support to Main Stores and Despatch, so this is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and working as part of a close-knit operations team.

What you'll be doing

Checking incoming deliveries for quantity, condition and correct documentation.
Inspecting materials and components against agreed requirements and raising any concerns quickly.
Receiving goods accurately on the ERP system and keeping records up to date.
Labelling, moving and storing goods in the correct locations.
Helping Main Stores and Despatch with stock handling, packing, despatch preparation and general organisation.
Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organised work area.

What we're looking for

A keen eye for detail and pride in accurate work.
A practical, positive approach and willingness to support colleagues across the factory.
Comfort using computer systems; ERP experience is useful but not essential.
Experience in goods-in, stores, warehousing, dispatch or manufacturing would be an advantage.
Reliability, good organisation and clear communication.

What we offer

We operate a 37-hour week over four days, Monday to Thursday. Benefits include five weeks’ holiday, a pension scheme and an employee wellbeing programme. Training will be provided for the right person.
